Ediciones La visita, 2023En 1987 un empresario de Arica adquirió en un remate público el histórico edificio de la Cárcel de Pisagua, lugar de detención y tortura durante la dictadura de Pinochet. El inmueble se intervino y fue transformado en un hotel de turismo con doce habitaciones.
In 1987, a businessman from Arica purchased the historic Pisagua Prison building at a public auction. The site had been used as a place of detention and torture during Pinochet’s dictatorship. The property was later renovated and converted into a twelve-room tourist hotel.
